My parked car was totalled by an another driver who has admitted fault.How much rental car time do they owe?

The insurance co stated that they only owe 1 week's worth of car rental. The final settlement has not yet been reached and the ins co is looking over figures (autotrader ads, etc) I have submitted to them. They have advanced a "partial settlement" and the adjuster said that they do not owe anymore than 1 week's worth of car rental bc they advanced the partial settlement check. I am in northern California. What are my rights?
