Faulty tyres on a rental car

THE EDITOR, Sir:I RECENTLY visited Jamaica and stayed in Kingston, rented a car from one of the little people operating a car-rental business. They gave me a car with tyres that could have cost me and my husband's life. We rented the car and went to St Elizabeth, and on our return, coming up Spur Tree Hill at 8:30 pm, we heard a sound that indicated we had a flat tyre.
